Opere di fortificazione
Le fortificazioni medicee furono realizzate dall'architetto Giovanni
Battista Bellucci.
In un anno, dal 1548 al 1549, costruì una piazzaforte costituita
da tre forti (Falcone, Stella, Linguella) collegati tra loro da
solide e potenti mura.
Nella zona del porto vecchio attraverso la Porta a Terra, si possono
visitare il Forte del Falcone, il Forte Stella e il Forte della
Linguella seguendo, quando è possibile, i camminamenti che li collegano.

Die Befestigungsanlagen
Die Befestigungsanlagen der Medici wurden vom Architekten Giovanni
Battista Bellucci durchgeführt.
In einem Jahr, von 1548 bis 1549, konstruierte er eine Anlage die
aus drei Festungen bestand (Falcone, Stella und Linguella), welche
untereinander durch solide starke Mauern verbunden waren.
In der Zone des alten Hafens, durch das "Tor zum Land"
kann man die drei Befestigungen Forte Falcone, Forte Stella und
Forte Linguella besichtigen indem man, wo es möglich ist, den Wehrgängen
folgt die sie miteinander verbinden.

The fortifications of the Medici were realized from the architect
Giovanni Battista Bellucci.
