che il golfo di Portoferraio sia stato
frequentato dai più antichi popoli mediterranei: dagli etruschi,
dai greci, dai liguri,
dai romani, dai pisani,
e perfino dai barbareschi.

nach, wenn man griechischen und lateinischen Schriftstellern Glauben
schenkt, kann man bestätigen, dass die Bucht von Portoferraio
von den antiken Völkern des Mittelmeeres frequentiert wurde: Etrusker,
Griechen, Ligurer, Römer, Pisaner und sogar Piraten.
