| The Aquarius
of Elba is sure, for it's dimensions, but above all, for the variety
of species accommodated, between the most complete existing Mediterranean
Aquarius. On a surface entire covered of approximately 1,000 meters squared, currently they are in function 43 bathtubs for beyond 130,000 liters of water, that makes it, for dimensions, the second structure in Italy after the Aquarius of Genoa.Currently they are accommodated approximately 1150 different species of Mediterranean organisms, some of them which particularly rare or difficult ones to observe in captivity. |
The Faunistic Museum is accommodated to the inside of the same Aquarius. It collects beyond 250 exemplary of Mammals and Birds in representation of approximately 170 various species, all marked ones like present on the island. The taken care of cards render the visit to all particularly interesting the fans of nature. To its inside, beyond to the Faunistico Museum, they are to disposition of the public the library, the bar and one likeable boutique of souvenirs. The scientific supervision is cured from Dr. Angelo Mojetta, famous biologist and author of most numerous books of Acquarius and Sea biology. |

| From Marina di Campo the follow the indications
for Lacona - Porto Azzurro: before the beginning of the climb

| The Aquarius of Elba is opened from March to November and is visitabile
