San Francesco Saverio in Campo is located beside
the margins of a watercourse, which is called pit of San Francesco,
along which, more to the valley, there are rests of ancient walls
in one locality called Case “Vecchie di Sant’Ilario”
(old houses of Sant’Ilario), to mount of one rich source of
best pure water, may be the ancient settlement of the village Sant’Ilario.
San Francesco was a little chapel with a single altar adorn of the
picture of San Francesco Saverio, goal of frequent processios of
the inhabitants of Sant’Ialrio.
A lot ruined in the last few decades, it has been cleaned up recently,
although by now it is lacking in roof and undressed of all the furnishings.
