Roman Villa of the Grotte

Remainders of a Roman mansion from the I century before Christ; before approximately 20 years begun the excavation work and it opened a luxurious system; the wall foundations permit a reconstruction of the complex: the dwellings of the owner (probably a high Roman official), the spaces of the servants and the stores show themselves. On the area is additionally a large waterbasin, that probably served for the fishbreed; in its center runs a bricked tube, by which was probably led hot air or hot water, in order to heat the basin.
