Campo nell'Elba is located in the southern flat part of the island of Elba and stretches from the Gulf of Lacona to Pomonte.
It was once a fishing village which is stretched along the wide sandy bay. The beach of Campo nell'Elba is one of the the longest beaches of the island of Elba and is one of the most visited beaches in the summer season. At the western end of the bay of Marina di Campo, rises the cylindrical tower built as a defensive system, probably during Pisan rule.The Town Hall of Campo nell'Elba is located in Marina di Campo, a seaside resort overlooking the bay. In this area there are many archaeological finds evidence of ancient settlements.
Today Campo nell'Elba has excellent hotels and, with its long sandy beach one of the most popular seaside resorts on the island of Elba. For those who prefer a quiet holiday is in good hands in the villages of San Piero and Sant'Ilario.
